Performances
Sharon's School of Dance produces a Recital once every two years at the end of the season in May.
This includes purchasing costumes and performing on stage at a theatrical venue such as
The Historic Sidney Theatre.
Beginning in 2022, Sharon's School of Dance will also present a Spring Showcase in non-recital years to provide graduating students the opportunity for a formal end-of-year performance. The Showcase features Company students as well as students taking advanced level classes. While smaller in scope than the full Recital performance, the Showcase also offers younger students the chance to watch the older, more experienced dancers perform and learn about the expectations and opportunities for Company students.
For all other classes in non-recital years, an informal In-Studio showcase allows family
and friends to see what the students in each class have learned throughout the year.
This is a FREE performance hosted at Sharon's School of Dance and takes place
in the evening during the last week of class for the season.
Additionally, students who attend classes at Sharon's School of Dance are invited to audition for
Sidney Dance Company productions throughout the season. All SDC productions are held at
theatrical venues and require students to attend rehearsals outside of their regular class times.
